Unlocking a Mystery....

When a dear friend asked me to review a perfume on my blog, I thought that it really wasn't what I usually do. Upon thinking, I thought it might be fun to review a perfume that so few have had a chance to sniff.

I have applied this parfum for a couple days in a row and it has really grown on me. It opens with a citrus/bergamot topnote that is quite charming. As it starts to dry down, I get a powdery floral bouquet that I adore. It's a soft rose/jasmine that I have always loved in classic perfumes. Underneath all the lovely flowers is a heart of oakmoss and sandalwood that makes me swoon. I have an addiction to oakmoss lately that really makes this a fantastic choice for me. The lasting power is about average for a parfum (about 4 hours dabbed-would really love to spritz with abandon, but since it is not a large bottle, must savor it:)

Hoppy Spring!!

Ah well...no time, no see:) Things have been busy around the household and the blog has suffered. I've had some things going on that have hindered my developing new scents (hurt my back and was off work for weeks, just found out that I need surgery on my leg and physical therapy for my shoulder).

On the horizon at CJScents: I've got a couple oakmoss blends coming up. I'm thinking of doing some orange blossom blends (if you have any ideas for this-contact me via the CJScents website). Would like to do a series of skin musk type scents with other top notes (such as iris, rose, orange blossom).

Would love any suggestions for new fumes-I may have some time off work coming up again...

Hello my friends..

It's been a while...the holidays have kept me busy. I've been busy blending things that will be added to the website soon. Some working names to tease a bit: Winter Flowers, Vanilla Patchouli, Soft Patchouli, Black Rose, Amber Rose. I've also added edps to the website and reduced a few prices on top sellers.

I just want to say thanks to all the lovely people who have given me support over the last year-it is much appreciated. When I thought I couldn't do it, people lifted my spirits and gave me the boost I needed. Thank you so much for being there:)

Edp's coming soon...

Hi Everyone!

Very soon, edp's will be available in many CJS scents. They will be packaged in 1/2 oz atomizers for $20 each (between 35-40% oils). With edp's (and oils), it's so hard to send them without leaks (if any of you have swapped with me, you know I'm an avid electrical tape fanatic!) I pose a question to you...would you prefer things taped (not over labels of course) to ensure a safe arrival or not? Drop me a line and let me know your thoughts. I know it doesn't look very professional, but the swapper in me is making me ask.

I have registered my domain!

Hi everyone..

Some exciting news!! Today I registered my domain as http://www.cjscents.com.
In the next week (hopefully) I will move everything there and probably won't list on etsy anymore. I'm still trying to decide if I'll be able to do both or not.

Other news...I've got some blends coming up for fall:Pumpkin Patch (patchouli and pumpkin), Vanilla Autumn (vanilla, spices and musk), Vanilla Autumn Night (same blend with frankincense, myrrh and amber added), Amber Coffee, and Vanilla Musk. Also on the horizon is edp's.
